Less than 24 hours after news broke of former President Donald Trump’s federal indictment, Hillary Clinton responded with a sales pitch for her clothing merchandise.

The former secretary of state announced via social media on Friday that her “But Her Emails” hats and other assorted items were on sale for a limited time. Onward Together, her political action organization, sells the merchandise.

“Bringing this back in light of recent news,” Clinton tweeted. “Get a limited-edition But Her Emails hat and support @onwardtogether groups working to strengthen our democracy.”

She received online backlash for the ad.

“Hillary Clinton is gloating that the rules that apply to Trump do not apply to her,” one Twitter user said.

“Still not president,” another simply put.

The mocking phrase “But Her Emails” refers to the controversy behind Clinton’s use of a personal email server while she was secretary of state during the Obama administration. Her private server was a cornerstone of Trump’s attacks on her during the 2016 presidential election.

After investigating the issue, the FBI never charged Clinton for using the server.

The 2016 Democratic presidential nominee announced a similar sales push last year after the FBI searched Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.

The Department of Justice unsealed Trump’s 37-count indictment related to obstruction and mishandling classified documents after his presidency. Trump will report to the Miami federal court on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
