Former President Donald Trump will sit down with Fox News Chief Political Anchor Bret Baier for an interview focused on the 2024 Republican presidential primary later this month.

Trump’s interview will air on June 19 at 6 p.m. during Special Report with Bret Baier.

The interview with Trump will be the first Baier has done with the former president since 2018, when he was still in office.

Fox News earned the top-rated hour of cable news on June 1 when it aired a pre-taped town hall with Trump. The event was hosted by Sean Hannity and took place in Clive, Iowa.

The town hall brought 2.78 million viewers to Fox News’s 9 p.m. hour. Of those viewers, 320,000 were in the 25-54 age demographic sought after by advertisers.

The night prior, Hannity saw 1.93 million viewers, with 176,000 in the 25-54 demographic.

In comparison, CNN’s live town hall with Trump last month saw 3.31 million total viewers, according to Nielsen ratings.

A similar town hall on CNN with presidential candidate Nikki Haley didn’t fare as well. The event with Haley brought in just 522,000 viewers, more than half a million less than Fox News’s Life, Liberty, and Levin at the same time, although she did deliver a win for the network when it came to the key 25-54 age demographic.

The town hall saw 135,000 viewers in the demographic coveted by advertisers, beating out CNN’s competitors during the prime-time hours.

On Wednesday night, CNN will host former Vice President Mike Pence for a similar town hall event. Pence announced his 2024 candidacy on Wednesday during an event in Iowa.
