Eighty-one percent of the country is not happy, are you?

A recent poll suggested that at least 81% are dissatisfied with the direction of the United States.

Government is the No. 1 problem for people, according to 19% of respondents, with the economy and immigration following close behind at 13% each.

Still, these are just estimates. So, we decided to head to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., to ask everyday voters if they are happy with the direction the nation is headed.

While most said they were optimistic about America’s future, almost everyone listed a specific issue about why they were disappointed in the country.

Whether it was the overturning of Roe v. Wade, America’s spending, or an education system in need of reform, most voters gave an area where the nation could improve.

Everyone agreed that the future would be better if government officials took the opportunity to listen to voters more than their own interests.
