Gen Z Florida congressman joins Paramore onstage to call out governor: ‘F*** Ron DeSantis’

Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) made a cameo at Paramore’s Washington, D.C., performance last week, taking the opportunity to express his dissatisfaction with Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R-FL) leadership.
Frost, at 26 years old, is the youngest current member of Congress and also the first Generation Z member.

During the concert on Friday, Frost joined Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams to sing the band’s 2007 hit “Misery Business.”
Afterward, footage shows the congressman yelling, “F*** Ron DeSantis! F*** fascism,” into the microphone.
Frost later called Fox News’s coverage of his appearance “pure comedy.”

The Generation Z representative was elected in 2022.

At another recent performance, Williams made a similar criticism of the Florida governor. “I’ll be happy to tell you I’m very f***ing comfortable talking politics,” she said at a Memorial Day weekend performance in Atlantic City, New Jersey. “If you vote for Ron DeSantis, you’re f***ing dead to me. Is that comfortable enough for anyone?”
DeSantis is currently running for president in 2024. According to Morning Consult, 22% of Republican primary voters support the Florida Republican. He is in second place, only overshadowed by former President Donald Trump, who leads the polls at 56%.
