Biden commencement address
President Joe Biden will deliver the commencement address at the United States Air Force Academy on Thursday.
Biden previously spoke at the Air Force Academy in 2009 and 2014 as vice president. He is the ninth sitting president to deliver the address at the academy. Thursday’s commencement will take place in El Paso County, Colorado.
AIR FORCE PICKS COLORADO TO BASE NEW SPACE FORCE UNITS
A total of 919 men and women will graduate from the academy on Thursday. Biden also spoke at Howard University’s graduation ceremony on May 13 in Washington, D.C.
Throughout his presidency, Biden has given commencement addresses at the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, South Carolina State University, and the University of Delaware, his alma mater.

Biden’s visit to Colorado occurs at the same time Congress is working to pass a bill that will raise the debt limit and prevent the U.S. from defaulting on its loans. The House passed the bill through on Wednesday and sent it to the Senate, with a vote expected as early as Friday but that could possibly go into the weekend.
The commencement address will begin at 11:30 on Thursday.
