Gov. Chris Sununu (R-NH) urged 2024 Republican presidential candidates to stop focusing on “culture war” issues and instead address other concerns, namely inflation.
The New Hampshire governor has yet to say whether he will be entering the 2024 race for the Republican presidential nomination. He was recently ranked the sixth most-popular governor in the United States, with a 63% approval rating.

Asked about Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and his leadership style, Sununu said “he kind of leads with that stuff,” referring to cultural issues.
He clarified that “I don’t like wokeism. I don’t like cancel culture, any of that stuff,” but stressed that other issues are more important to voters.

“I’d say to him, and all the candidates, ‘You’ve got to — it can’t be just about a culture war, right? This has to be about inflation,'” he said on The View.
He claimed that voters are not as concerned with culture war issues as they are about the economy.
According to the governor, candidates should focus on inflation, which he noted is “the worst tax on the poor you could ever create — and it’s only government-created, by the way. The only thing that creates inflation is printing and spending more money. That’s it.”
Sunny Hostin then asked Sununu if he would advise candidates to “stop attacking the trans community.”
He replied: “Yea.”
“Good leaders shouldn’t be attacking anybody,” he added. “We should be raising people up.”
