Gov. Brian Kemp denounces Trump’s ‘un-American’ far-right dinner guest

Gov. Brian Kemp (R-GA) denounced the “un-American” far-right dinner guest of former President Donald Trump who was brought along by rapper Kanye West.
Kemp became the latest Republican to condemn Nick Fuentes, the far-right host of the web show America First, after he had dinner with Trump and West, now known as Ye, at Mar-a-Lago. While Trump said he was trying to help Ye, who brought along Fuentes without Trump’s knowledge, left-wing figures have attempted to paint the dinner as a Republican endorsement of Fuentes’s far-right ideas.

“Racism, antisemitism, and denial of the Holocaust have no place in the Republican Party and are completely un-American,” Kemp told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The outlet noted Republican Georgia Senate hopeful Herschel Walker’s silence on the matter.

Fuentes has been labeled a white supremacist and antisemitic Holocaust denier by many on the Right and Left. Several prominent Republican figures expressed dismay over the dinner before Kemp, including former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson. However, Fuentes has denied accusations of white supremacy and antisemitism and said previous comments were taken out of context or were made in jest.
In a statement from Fuentes obtained by the Washington Examiner, he said, “I reject all labels other than Christian American.”
