President Donald Trump and the first lady hosted trick-or-treaters of all ages Thursday night on the White House South Lawn just in time for Halloween.
First lady Melania Trump and the president were seen giving candy to young costumed children, with Air Force One flying over the White House twice. Construction on the state ballroom was happening simultaneously.
The Trumps also greeted War Secretary Pete Hegseth and White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller, who were accompanying their families for the Halloween-themed event. It lasted from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Donald Trump returned to the White House from a trip to South Carolina, where he held a campaign rally for Sen. Darline Graham (R-SC) five days before the general election.
