EXCLUSIVE — International rap sensation Nicki Minaj will appear alongside President Donald Trump in Port Huron, Michigan, on Sunday as he continues his final push to support Republican candidates ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
Trump and Minaj are heading to the Wolverine State in support of former Rep. Mike Rogers (R-MI), the Republican nominee for Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat, and other downballot GOP candidates.
“This midterm election is the most important of our lifetimes,” Minaj told the Washington Examiner Sunday morning. “We need to make sure President Trump has a strong, effective team in Congress for his final two years in office so he can continue delivering transformative programs like Trump Accounts, which I am proud to support.”
Minaj has steadily built up her bona fides among Trump’s base, most notably through her advocacy for the Trump Accounts program. She was a featured speaker at the Treasury Department’s January summit ahead of the program’s launch this past summer, and Sunday she will make her first official campaign appearance alongside the president.
“He’s not just smart, and he’s not just the president, but he’s also just someone I can relate to, someone that, you know, every time I see him, or every time I see him speaking to other people, he’s just himself,” she said of her support for Trump during a September interview.
Trump has spent virtually every day this month on the campaign trail, and his rallies have featured a slew of A-list MAGA celebrities.
Legendary Tampa Bay Buccaneers fullback Mike Alstott traveled on Air Force One with the president to his rally in Ft. Myers, Florida, and, just one day later, country star Jason Aldean greeted Trump on the tarmac at Robbins Air Force Base before introducing him at a rally in nearby Perry, Georgia.

Though Trump remains the GOP’s biggest draw, Rogers and other Republican candidates will take all the help they can get.
The former congressman, locked in a race that will likely prove crucial to determining majority control of the upper chamber in November, was trailing Democratic nominee Abdul el Sayed by 1.9 percentage points early Sunday morning in the RealClearPolitics polling average, while Rep. John James (R-MI), the Republican gubernatorial nominee, is trailing his opponent, Michigan’s secretary of state Jocelyn Benson, by just over six points.
