President Donald Trump is hosting a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration on Wednesday at the White House, where a multitude of Hispanic Americans and business owners will be in attendance.
The event comes over one month before the midterm elections as Trump tries to solidify the Hispanic vote by then. There was no in-person celebration for the nation’s Hispanic community last year. In September 2025, Trump signed an official proclamation to commemorate National Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 every year.
TRUMP TO MARK HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH WITH WHITE HOUSE CELEBRATION
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is of Cuban descent, and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, alongside his Latina wife, Rachel Campos-Duffy, will attend the event, according to a White House official. Rubio said marking Hispanic Heritage Month is intended to pay homage to Hispanic Americans who have contributed to “every realm of society.”
The event is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
