President Donald Trump found a new way to bash CNN after he banned the outlet from the White House, reposting a video parodying a day in the life of a generic CNN reporter.
“My life as someone who tells lies all day long,” the video starts.
The video is captioned, “Day in the Life of a CNN reporter.”
“First, I get up, then I put on my fake news outfit,” the narrator says. “I just can’t wait to make up a bunch of false rumors about Trump today.”
The original video came from Patrick Cutler, an online comedian who plays a parody of an older version of the titular character from the 2004 movie Napoleon Dynamite.
The video ended by showing the “CNN reporter” done up in their outfit and blonde wig, walking out the door.
“Alright, let’s go bash Trump 24/7, here we go!”
Cutler posted the video on Instagram on Tuesday. Trump posted the video to Truth Social just after midnight on Wednesday.
The CNN backlash comes after the president banned it, MS Now, and Politico from the White House in a Truth Social post on Friday.
He said the ban came “as a result of their constant ‘reporting’ FAKE NEWS!”
“Media Outlets shouldn’t be able to constantly write or report FICTION and LIES when they’re covering the President of the United States, the Trump Administration, or the United States of America,” Trump wrote. “Other Fake News Media Outlets to follow.”
The outlets were denied access to the White House on Saturday and are now suing the Trump administration, arguing that the ban violates the First Amendment.
The White House TV pool announced it was standing in solidarity with the outlets by boycotting any broadcast coverage of Trump.
In a joint statement on Monday, ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox News said they will not provide coverage after Trump banned the three media publications from the White House.
Trump announced his own media channel, Trump TV, amid the rift with the media outlets.

The White House made the announcement on Instagram. Content can be streamed 24/7 from a phone or TV, but the post directs users to the White House YouTube page.
