A conservative festival featuring MAGA rockstar Kid Rock was canceled after it sold only six VIP tickets.
Patriots Day Freedom Fest was scheduled for Saturday. The event was supposed to take place in northern Kentucky near Cincinnati.
The free festival was supposed to be paid for through the purchase of VIP tickets. Eric Deters, a lawyer, political commentator, and the festival’s organizer, said the lack of VIP sales led to the event’s cancellation, according to USA Today.
“When I put together Patriots Day Freedom Fest, I put it together with the game plan and the idea that I could pay for it with VIP sales of $1,000 from these 100 people that I interact with on a regular basis,” Deters said Monday on Facebook Live.
Reporting from USA Today also revealed that speakers were to include Dog the Bounty Hunter, Kentucky Republican congressional nominee Ed Gallrein, Rep. James Comer (R-KY), and Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha.
“I am never ever, ever, ever, ever doing this event again. Ever,” Deters said.
Deters pushed back against claims that the cancellation was due to concerns over low attendance. He posted photos of previous Freedom Fests on Facebook, showing a packed crowd and a large parking lot.
Deters criticized the lack of VIP sales and said the tickets were not bought due to “financial reason,” not due to lack of support for President Donald Trump.
“I want to tell you something, rich people, as a whole, suck,” Deters said.

Trump and Kid Rock have not yet responded to the abruptly canceled event.
