President Donald Trump is set to make an announcement related to Medicaid reform from the White House on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
Trump is expected to announce a “most favored nation” pricing plan for some drugs covered by Medicaid, in an effort to lower prescription drug prices. The plan will allow Americans in all 50 states to purchase prescription medicine at prices aligned with those in other developed nations.
The announcement comes as affordability is top of voters’ minds as the 2026 midterm election quickly approaches.
