Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha slammed former first lady Jill Biden for calling her husband, former President Joe Biden, “heroic” for dropping out of the 2024 presidential election.
“That was not heroic; it was cowardly. I mean, let’s face it, Joe Biden got bullied out of running for reelection,” Concha said on Fox News’s Saturday in America.
The former first lady appeared on The Jamie Kern Lima Show Wednesday as part of a three-part series on the Biden’s time in the White House.
“He decided to step aside. I mean, I thought what he did was heroic. I mean, he gave up everything,” Jill Biden said on the show.
“He only dropped out because he had a horrible debate, and the media couldn’t cover for him anymore, it’s really that simple. Nothing heroic,” Concha said.
Joe Biden’s debate performance in June 2024 shook the Democratic Party, as he stumbled over his words and exposed his frailty. He later dropped out of the race entirely in July, leaving the party with just a few months before the November election.
In a social media post, the former president said he gave his “full support” to the eventual nominee, former Vice President Kamala Harris.

Concha said Biden should have announced his resignation earlier, in 2022 or 2023, “because obviously, his brain had turned to applesauce at that point.”
“In the end, nobody likes a quitter. There’s nothing heroic about that. He never should have run in 2020, but fake Dr. Jill reportedly pushed him into it, and he certainly shouldn’t have run in 2024,” Concha said.
