Ten Truth Social customers for $100,000 early access to Trump’s posts

Over 10 customers have signed up for Truth Social’s new Truth API program, which offers paid subscribers the “fastest” access to posts in real-time, within the first two weeks of the product’s launch.

APIs, or application programming interfaces, allow firms and businesses that would benefit from early access to influential social media posts to have licensed, real-time access to posts through a subscription-based data feed. Many major social media platforms, such as Instagram and X, offer APIs to interested customers. However, only Truth Social is home to President Donald Trump’s breaking news announcements on market-moving topics.

Trump Media and Technology Group announced its new Truth API in mid-July, allowing customers early access to important posts, following the product’s launch on Aug. 1 with a $100,000 price tag.

Kevin McGurn, the interim chief executive officer of Trump Media, announced that the company received over 10 subscribers to its API program as part of his 2026 second-quarter financial results. Several of these customers were onboarded before the Aug. 1 launch date.

“Our new Truth API product is already generating revenue, with more than ten customer agreements signed to date,” McGurn said. “I’m encouraged by this momentum, and shareholders should expect more frequent communication from us on our progress each quarter as we enter this next chapter.”

In the company’s Q2 results, Trump Media reported $2 billion in total assets and $1.9 billion in financial assets, while also reporting a $238.1 million net loss for the quarter. It said the bulk of the quarter’s losses were non-cash, including losses on digital assets, or cryptocurrency.

Trump Media also reported $1.7 million in revenue for Q2, which is up nearly 90% from the $0.9 million in revenue it reported in Q2 2025.

McGurn said the company has “sharpened our strategic direction and brought real discipline to how we allocate capital” in the past several months. The company said it would be looking to cut costs and create a “leaner operating structure” and focus on its “strategic growth initiatives” over the coming months as it looks to save costs.

McGurn said in July that the Truth API would be a “high-margin, recurring revenue stream” for Trump Media.

Democrats have begun to target the company’s API, citing ethical and conflict-of-interest concerns, as the president has the most followers of any account on the platform, with 13 million as of Tuesday morning. Trump has made major policy decisions about topics ranging from the Iran war to tariffs to executive appointments and announced them first on Truth Social.

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) argued in a letter to the presidents of the Bank Policy Institute, Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association, Managed Funds Association, Financial Services Forum, Principal Traders Group, and American Bankers Association that the API product “creates a clear and unacceptable pathway for corruption.”

Trump Media addressed some of the pushback on the product in its second quarter results, saying it believes it has received “factually inaccurate criticism.”
