Former Los Angeles mayoral candidate and reality TV star Spencer Pratt criticized Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul el Sayed, labeling him a communist and saying, “they’re embarrassingly cringe.”
“One of the worst things about these communists isn’t just that they’re evil and they outwardly want to destroy Western civilization; of course we know all that. They’re just so embarrassingly cringe,” Pratt wrote on X.
Pratt’s comments came in response to Abdul el Sayed’s TikTok video parodying Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.” In the clip, he dances and lip-syncs to the lyrics, “I wanna vote for somebody, for somebody who will get money out of politics, put money in pockets, and pass Medicare for all.”
Abdul el Sayed, who won Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary, has rejected the socialists and communist labels critics have attached to him.
TRUMP CALLS ABDUL EL SAYED ‘A COMMUNIST LOSER WHO HATES JEWS’ AFTER MICHIGAN PRIMARY WIN
He has previously said he does not consider himself a socialist or communist, arguing that capitalism works well on a small, local scale as long as everyone has access to it.
Among those critics are President Donald Trump, who also blasted Abdul el Sayed as a communist, saying, “El-Sayed, a Communist loser who hates Jews and Israel, is the projected winner in his race with the Socialist.”
