Vice President JD Vance is set to record an episode with popular podcaster Joe Rogan on Tuesday in Texas, a source familiar with the situation confirmed to the Washington Examiner.
Vance was set to appear before the House Republican Conference as Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) seeks to restart House business after repeated Republican standoffs over the SAVE America Act brought the House to a standstill. The paralysis has led to delays in key pieces of legislation.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is among the hard-line lawmakers pushing for the election integrity legislation. She previously blocked an annual defense policy bill, paralyzing the House just before the July 4 holiday.
Luna’s actions came weeks before Trump defiantly refused to sign the bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act in protest of the SAVE America Act being held up. The landmark housing bill eventually became law despite Trump’s disapproval.
But due to a scheduling conflict, Vance will not appear on the Hill on Tuesday. Before Vance’s visit was canceled, his allies claimed that Vance’s current role within the White House is to serve Trump’s agenda, whether it is negotiating with Iran or focusing on the anti-fraud task force.
“The Vice President is one of the administration’s top drivers of the president’s priorities, from the war on fraud and border security to safety in our communities and ensuring Americans can thrive,” a White House official said. “He has worked tirelessly to accomplish the president’s agenda and deliver for the American people and will continue to do so.”

Vance’s relationship with the Rogan remains positive despite the podcaster souring on Trump’s second administration. Rogan previously praised Vance’s oratory skills while slamming Trump’s Make America Great Again movement as full of “dorks” in April.
“He’s so good,” Rogan said of Vance. “He’s great. Thank God for that guy.”
