Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha warned against socialist candidates as they continue to win Democratic primaries across the country, arguing the Democratic Socialists of America want to watch “the whole thing burn.”
“That’s exactly what the DSA wants to do here. They want to tear the whole thing down,” Concha said on Fox & Friends First Friday. “This is what radicalism is.”
Concha’s comments were in response to a Fox News report detailing the DSA’s platform, which included eliminating the U.S. Senate, amnesty for all immigrants, and defunding the War Department.
This comes as candidates backed by the DSA are dominating elections, with many securing the Democratic nomination in primaries, including in New York and Colorado.
Concha said the DSA wants to “expand” by electing its candidates across the country so they can watch the country “burn.”
“This is the goal from the inside,” Concha said. “Get elected to places like mayor of New York, or in Congress in New York, or mayor of Seattle, or mayor of Washington, D.C., then slowly expand until you watch the whole thing burn. That’s exactly what the DSA wants to do in their own words.”
Concha said the larger Democratic Party should be “concerned” over the rise of socialism within the party.

“If they think as an establishment Democrat that these people coming into the Democratic Party are going to work with Democrats, [socialists] are going to work to take them out first, then eventually the Republicans, then eventually the U.S. government,” Concha said.
“This is not hyperbole, their words right there,” Concha added.
