Spencer Pratt says he has incriminating footage of Karen Bass or Nithya Raman

.

Reality TV star and former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt said he has recordings of either current city Mayor Karen Bass or City Councilwoman Nithya Raman that would “make her resign in shame.”

“So Karen, Nithya, ask yourself: Is it possible that one of your employees may have a recording of you doing or saying something that would force you to resign in disgrace?” Pratt said in a video posted on X on Friday.

The post comes after Pratt’s loss in the June 2 primary election. After days of counting votes, he lost second place to Raman.

Pratt ran as an independent against Bass and Raman, who are Democrats. Bass and Raman will head to November’s runoff election.

Pratt called the mayor and city councilwoman “corrupt communists” and told viewers that “we have some recordings of one of your exalted candidates doing and saying something that would make her resign in shame.”

He argued that people who voted for Bass and Raman are “about to reward the arsonists who torched the place with four more years of destruction.” Pratt has especially been critical of Bass’s handling of the Palisades fires in 2025, which resulted in burning homes and 12 people dying.

Pratt said he was saving the incriminating footage for the general election, but now he’s making its existence known.

He said he wants Bass and Raman to be “awake at night, sweating, worried about 5 a.m. when the FBI blazers bust down the door, breaking open your office,” Pratt said. “I assure you, they are coming.”

Pratt said that now that he’s off the campaign trail, he is going to be investing his time in exposing the corruption in Los Angeles. “I’m going to be lighting you up every single day, and I don’t have campaign laws hamstringing me now. It’s war,” he said.

The Washington Examiner reached out to Pratt for comment.
