‘Many victims’ at shooting at street festival in Toledo, Ohio: Authorities

The Toledo Police Department said Saturday evening “many victims have been transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment” after officers responded to a report of a person shot near a community street festival.

The department is currently searching for the suspect or suspects involved, and asked the public to “expect a significant police presence as officers continue their search and investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

The number of people who have been shot and the severity of their injuries are unclear. The shooting occurred at approximately 5:37 p.m., according to the statement.
