Spencer Pratt says he’s surging with moms using strollers ‘around naked drug addict zombies’

Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt has surged in recent polls regarding the city’s upcoming mayoral election. The one-time reality star has garnered a lot of support over criticizing current Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass for government incompetence and hampering his message about quality of life issues. On Thursday, Pratt appeared on Fox News’s Gutfeld!, and explained why he thought he had a realistic chance to be victorious. One of the reasons was his belief he was getting a lot of support from mothers concerned about safety issues while raising their children.

“This is my favorite thing, the internet says ‘they’re like he’s so big on the internet, but is he big on the streets?’” Pratt told host Greg Gutfeld. “Yes, the people I’m surging with are the people having to step over the naked drug addicts and step into human poop to get their $20 matcha. Those are the people that I’m surging with.”

He also explained his support with Los Angeles mothers, as mentioned above. He said they just want to be able to live in safe neighborhoods so they can raise their children in a good environment.

“The moms across Los Angeles who have to use their strollers around fentanyl needles and naked drug addict zombies with machetes that maybe will chop a limb off,” Pratt said of his increase in support.

One of the main issues Pratt has focused on during his mayoral campaign were the Palisades Fires in 2025 which caused a significant amount of destruction in Southern California, particularly Los Angeles. It reportedly spread 37 square miles, damaging thousands of structures, one of which was Pratt’s home. It is the most destructive wildfire to ever hit Los Angeles, according to reports. Pratt has blamed much of the destruction on Bass, claiming her incompetence led to damages being much worse than necessary. He did so again on Gutfeld! on Thursday night.

“Is anybody who was devastated by the fires still voting for Karen Bass, and what is wrong with them?” Gutfeld asked Pratt.

“Yeah, there’s definitely lunatics. Their houses didn’t burn down but they could have been saved by the U.S. Forest Service, who came in to save the day, Chief Bobby Garcia … but these people have convinced themselves the Palisades burned down because of climate change and these imaginary hurricane winds that did not exist. So for them, they go, ‘Oh, it’s the winds, and it was the climate change, that’s what it was. It wasn’t that Mayor Bass was drinking in Ghana and defunded the firefighters by the $17 million that the fire chief said we needed to keep everyone safe.”

He also accused Bass’s administration of draining “both the reservoirs that were for wildfire protection.”

“So, I don’t know why that message isn’t getting to them,” Pratt told Gutfeld. “So I keep trying to say that out a lot.”

The conversation returned to Pratt’s supporters and his rise in the polls. Gutfeld mentioned the “silent voter” and celebrity supporters, some of whom have publicly supported Pratt in his campaign. However, Pratt said he does not care for celebrity endorsements and only wants the typical American and “animal lovers” to support him.

“What I’ve learned is I actually don’t want celebrities to come out and endorse me,” Pratt said. “I don’t want anybody to endorse me except for the moms and the animal lovers in L.A.”

“That’s my entire vote,” Pratt said.

The most recent polling for the Los Angeles mayoral election showed an extremely close race. According to UC Berkeley-Los Angeles Times poll released on Thursday, Bass maintains a slight lead over Pratt and the other main candidate in the race, Los Angeles city councilmember Nithya Raman. The poll has Bass at 26%, Raman at 25%, and Pratt at 22%. The Los Angeles Times reported that both Bass and Raman have gained 8% in polling support since the last survey conducted in March.
