Milwaukee Bucks forward Kyle Kuzma placed a $36,069 bet on Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt to win the election.
Kuzma, who won a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, posted the bet on X and said, “For my parlay papis I’m going big on @spencerpratt.”
The bet was made through Kalshi and would pay out $133,588.89.
Kuzma responded to comments criticizing the bet, saying, “LA has been cooked since Covid what am I missing lol.”
Pratt is running against Mayor Karen Bass and LA City Councilwoman Nithya Raman to become the next mayor.
Pratt’s campaign for mayor has grown immensely over the past few weeks. He captured the attention of President Donald Trump, who said, “I’d like to see him do well.”
Turning Point CEO Erika Kirk also commented on Pratt’s campaign, calling him “authentically American.”
