Freedom 250, a non-partisan organization founded to celebrate the United States’s 250th birthday, is set to host a “national jubilee of prayer, praise, and thanksgiving” in Washington, D.C.
The organization made the announcement on Monday, featuring Secretary of State Marco Rubio inviting Americans to attend the faith-focused event on X.
“Let us gather in unity to give thanks for two and a half centuries of freedom and to rededicate our future as one nation under God. Be part of this historic moment of faith,” Rubio said in the video.
The event is broken up into “three pillars of the day,” according to Freedom 250’s website.
Pillar one will focus on “God’s providence throughout” the nation’s history, pillar two will focus on “personal testimonies of God’s healing,” and pillar three will focus on Americans coming together in gratitude for 250 years of freedom and ask God for his continued “blessing, guidance, and grace” for another 250 years.
