President Donald Trump will deliver a speech at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner at the Washington Hilton on Saturday.
Trump and first lady Melania Trump are expected to join the event at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
The dinner marks the first year Trump will attend as president. He declined to attend the dinner in his first term.
Trump announced that he would be attending back in March.
“It will be my Honor to accept their invitation, and work to make it the GREATEST, HOTTEST, and MOST SPECTACULAR DINNER, OF ANY KIND, EVER!” he said at the time.
The event is typically hosted by a comedian, though this year’s dinner will see magician Oz Pearlman take the stage. Past dinner hosts include Trevor Noah, Jay Leno, and Stephen Colbert.

Comedian Amber Ruffin was slated to host the dinner in 2025, but came under fire for comments she made about not being able to be “equal” to both sides.
Other big names expected to make an appearance on Saturday night include rapper Nicki Minaj.
