Police are responding to an active shooter at the Mall of Louisiana, Gov. Jeff Landry (R-LA) said.
Videos posted on social media showed a large police response, with a fleet of police vehicles. Multiple gunshots could be heard.
“I am aware of the active shooter scene at the Mall of Louisiana,” Landry said in a post on X. “I am in coordination with law enforcement and we will update as we know more. Please avoid the area. Sharon and I are praying for those affected and are grateful for a quick response by our law enforcement officials.”
