Restaurant chain Steak ’n Shake has tapped Make America Healthy Again senior adviser Michael Boes for an executive role, betting he can revive the “original spirit” of fast food.
“The move marks a major step in the Company’s efforts to restore the original spirit of American fast food: food that is simple, real, and delicious,” Steak ‘n Shake said on X Tuesday.
Boes worked within the Department of Health and Human Services under Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as its chief MAHA officer.
The company said Boes will be “dedicated to advancing nutritional integrity, ingredient transparency, and the healthiness of our products.”
Boes announced his new position on LinkedIn on Tuesday.

“I am thrilled to share that I am joining Steak n Shake as the industry’s first Chief MAHA Officer,” Boe said.
“Fast food doesn’t have to mean processed, complicated, or artificial. It used to mean real, simple, and delicious — and it can again. I’m grateful to join an organization so deeply committed to that mission, and I look forward to helping drive the next chapter of growth on that foundation.”
