The United Kingdom has revoked a visa for Valentina Gomez, a failed Republican candidate known for her provocative anti-Islam views, ahead of her planned appearance at a right-wing rally in London next month.
The Home Office barred her from entering the country because her presence “would not be conducive to the public good,” Sky News reported on Monday. The development came days after Gomez announced her visa was approved.
In a message directed at British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood last week, Gomez said, “You’re only good at protecting the muslim rape gangs. Try to arrest me & see what happens. England belongs to the English. Not the mohameds.”
Gomez was planning to appear at the “Unite the Kingdom” rally, led by right-wing, anti-Islam activist Tommy Robinson, on May 16. That plan no longer seems viable, but she is nonetheless vowing to enter England by water if not by air and warning that President Donald Trump will intervene if she’s punished overseas.
“I’m gonna do exactly what the rapist pedophile Muslims do: I’m gonna hop on a boat, get free luxury accommodation, deliver my beautiful speech,” she said in a video. “And if they dare to arrest me, I guarantee you that the White House will get involved.”
“Because I’m not just coming with Jesus Christ, I’m coming with current and former soldiers of the United States military,” the self-proclaimed Christian influencer added. “And if they really want to deny my entry, well, they’re just gonna have to stop the boats.”
The move to revoke her visa is similar to the British government’s ban on Kanye West from entering the country for the Wireless Festival. The event was initially scheduled for July in London, but organizers later canceled it because West’s visa was blocked over antisemitic concerns.
The British government normally bars foreign nationals from the U.K. if their entry poses risks to national security or involves such issues as war crimes, corruption, or extremism.
The Home Office took action against Gomez after the Muslim Council of Britain asked Mahmood to reconsider granting her entry into the U.K.
“Allowing Valentina Gomez access to the UK in order to speak on such a public platform grants her legitimacy and sends a troubling message about the selective application of Home Office standards,” the Islamic group wrote in an April 17 letter. “This risks undermining the safety of all communities, damaging confidence in the willingness of the government to protect them from incitement.”
Gomez previously slammed the council’s letter in a social media post mocking Muslims.
“If you keep speaking without being spoken to, I’ll have your husband mohamed discipline you,” she wrote. “Muslims only contribute to rape statistics & terrorist attacks. I will be signing smelly hijabs at the [House of Lords].”
The conservative firebrand also said “1 Valentina” is greater than “6 million” Muslims in the U.K. Ayoud Khan, a Pakistani member of the British Parliament, recently said there are about 6 million “British Muslims,” over 2 million more than those recorded in the 2021 census. Gomez and other conservatives point to this rapid growth as proof that Britain is being overrun by Muslims.

Gomez unsuccessfully ran for public office twice. In 2024, she lost the Republican primary for Missouri secretary of state. Gomez later ran for the House to represent Texas’s 31st Congressional District, but she finished in second place behind incumbent Rep. John Carter (R-TX) in last month’s GOP primary. Carter led the field by nearly 50 points.
While running for Congress last year, Gomez posted a video showing herself using a flamethrower to burn a copy of the Quran. A key part of her campaign messaging was to stop the spread of Islam in the United States.
