Trump says US military will remain ‘in, and around, Iran’ until ‘real agreement’ is reached

.

President Donald Trump said that all United States military forces currently deployed in the Persian Gulf “in, and around, Iran” due to Operation Epic Fury will remain in the area until a “real agreement” is reached between the U.S. and Iran. Trump announced the decision in a social media post on his Truth Social account late Wednesday night.

“All U.S. Ships, Aircraft, and Military Personnel, with additional Ammunition, Weaponry, and anything else that is appropriate and necessary for the lethal prosecution and destruction of an already substantially degraded Enemy, will remain in place in, and around, Iran, until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with,” Trump said in his post.

Trump then suggested that if Iran did agree to terms, military strikes against the country would resume, and supposedly at a more enhanced magnitude than earlier military operations. He said that if no agreement happens, then the “shooting starts. Trump also touted that if the U.S. military has to engage in strikes in the future, they would be “bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before.”

“If for any reason it is not, which is highly unlikely,” Trump said about the prospects of reaching an agreement, “then the ‘Shootin’ Starts,’ bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before.”

Trump reiterated that Iran not having nuclear weapons must be included in an agreement between the two countries, as would be the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the ability of vessels to pass through it safely. The president stated that such terms were decided on “a long time ago.”

“It was agreed, a long time ago, and despite all of the fake rhetoric to the contrary – NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS and, the Strait of Hormuz WILL BE OPEN & SAFE,” said Trump. “In the meantime our great Military is Loading Up and Resting, looking forward, actually, to its next Conquest. AMERICA IS BACK!”
