Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha slammed musician Bruce Springsteen for living a luxurious life but trying to relate to average Americans, after the singer began his tour criticizing the Trump administration amid high ticket prices.
Springsteen launched his political concert tour, “Land Of Hope And Dreams American Tour,” in Minneapolis on Tuesday. Concha compared Springsteen to progressive politicians, arguing they all want to live the “rich life” while trying to relate to Americans.
“Bruce is just like [Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY)], just like [Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT)], he’s living the rich life while trying to relate to average Americans,” Concha said Thursday on Fox & Friends First. “It’s the jungle land, [co-host Todd Piro], of hypocrisy.”
Springsteen received a wave of backlash for criticizing the Trump administration while having high ticket prices for his tour.
Concha blasted Springsteen for the ticket prices, which range from $200 to $1,100 for his show at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., on May 27.
Concha said Springsteen should take “two seats” on the issues of affordability.
“If you got $1,000 laying around, you too can sit in the upper deck in the cheap seat for some of these concerts,” Concha said. “This is the guy who flies private jets and talks about affordability at a Monmouth airport near the Jersey Shore.”
Concha said Springsteen, like actor Robert De Niro and radio host Howard Stern, is an elitist, and nobody wants to hear him talk about politics.

“All these guys in their 70s that used to relate to the working man are now the elitists that they used to attack, they used to mock, and that’s where we are at this point,” Concha said. “No one wants to hear from these guys.”
“You have your right to the First Amendment and free speech, I get it completely, but at the same time, it’s getting so old already, especially with Bruce … play your music and move on,” he continued.
