The National Capital Planning Committee, many members of which are Trump appointees, will hold a hearing to vote on President Donald Trump’s White House Ballroom plans.
The vote will take place amid recent legal challenges to Trump’s plan. Earlier this week, a federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration from moving forward with construction, arguing that the president needed congressional approval.

The NCPC vote, which was anticipated to be in early March, was pushed to April after tens of thousands of public comments condemned the ballroom, calling it “vulgar,” “deeply disturbing,” and “appalling.”
