Ghislaine Maxwell has no remorse for Epstein survivors: Former reality star Jen Shah

.

Former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah said Jeffrey Epstein’s co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell, showed zero remorse for the survivors of Epstein’s sex trafficking scheme.

Shah served a sentence at the same minimum-security facility as Maxwell and Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas is referred to as a “country club” prison for its low-security environment, often housing white-collar offenders.

“She made it very publicly known, well, at least to Elizabeth and I, that there is no remorse there,” Shah told People magazine. “I, again, don’t know all the details of the case or whatever, but, I mean, we know enough.”

Shah was sentenced to 78 months in prison on Jan. 6, 2023, after she pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud in a telemarketing fraud scheme that targeted vulnerable, elderly victims.

She was released from prison in December 2025, serving the remainder of her sentence under home confinement. Following her release, she gave an exclusive interview with People magazine.

Shah said when Epstein’s victims appeared on television sharing their experiences, Maxwell showed “complete disregard.”

“This is when they are pouring their hearts out in front of Congress and for the files to be released and stuff,” she said. “To see that kind of behavior [from her] when there are real victims that you’re seeing and what they’ve gone through.

“To be so dismissive of that just didn’t sit with me the right way.”

Maxwell was transferred to the minimum-security prison in August 2025, days after sitting down with one of the highest-ranking members of the Justice Department, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche

Months later, the reason for the move still remains unclear, even when pressed by reporters, as convicted sex offenders are not normally eligible for a minimum security prison.

Prior to being moved to the minimum-security prison, Maxwell had been serving out her 20-year sentence in a low-security prison in Tallahassee, Florida. Low-security prisons are more restrictive than minimum-security centers.

Maxwell is also seeking a pardon from President Donald Trump, according to Politico.

In February, she declined to answer questions from the House oversight committee, but suggested that if Trump ended her sentence, she would be willing to testify that neither Trump nor former President Bill Clinton committed any wrongdoing in their relationships with Epstein.

Shah shared that she and Holmes had “limited” interactions with Maxwell, noting that the convicted sex offender’s “experience” in the prison is very different from everyone else’s.

“She is treated very differently there,” Shah said. “You know, I didn’t have a lot of interactions with her. She would come over and talk to us, or I would see her if, you know, she came by recreation.”

While Shah did not get into exactly how Maxwell was treated differently, the former reality star said she “chose” to have limited interactions with Maxwell.
