Trump threatens to sue Grammy host Trevor Noah over Epstein comments

.

President Donald Trump took to social media early Monday morning and threatened to sue Trevor Noah over comments he made during his hosting of the Grammy Awards on Sunday night. Trump objected to Noah’s remarks insinuating that he visited Little Saint James, more commonly known as “Epstein Island.”

Trump denied ever visiting the island owned by the deceased and disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. He also said that no such evidence existed of him doing so. Trump issued the rebuke on his Truth Social account, after first criticizing the 68th annual Grammy Awards as being “virtually unwatchable.”

“The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable! CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer,” Trump said in his post. “The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards.”

Trump then commented about Noah’s comments about “Epstein Island.”

“Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island,” Trump said. “WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media. Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast.”

The president then suggested he would file a lawsuit against Noah for his comments. Trump referenced his legal pursuits and success against television networks ABC and CBS.

“It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$,” Trump said. “Ask Little George Slopadopolus, and others, how that all worked out. Also ask CBS! Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you! President DJT.”

Noah hosted the Grammy Awards on Sunday night for the sixth and final time. Noah’s comment about Epstein came after singer Billie Eilish won the award for song of the year.

“Wow. That is a Grammy that every artist wants, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland,” Noah said. “Which makes sense, I mean, because Epstein’s island is gone, he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton.”
