Miami Beach mayor ‘disgusted’ by nightclub playing Kanye West song

Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner condemned a group of internet personalities “glorifying Hitler” by requesting the Ye song “Heil Hitler” at a nightclub Sunday.

Meiner, a Jew himself who wears the yarmulke, was reacting to white nationalist Nick Fuentes, influencers Sneako, Clavicular, Myron, Justin Waller, and alleged human traffickers Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate, who were in Miami Beach Sunday night. The group filmed themselves blasting the song inside what appeared to be a limousine before the song was played inside of a nightclub.

“Yesterday, a group of ‘influencers’ came to the Vendome nightclub in Miami Beach chanting Nazi slogans that glorified the Holocaust — symbols of hatred, genocide, and one of the darkest chapters in human history,” Meiner wrote in a statement.

“I am deeply disturbed and disgusted by these videos of twisted individuals glorifying Hitler and the murder of millions.”

“Adolf Hitler and his Nazi regime murdered six million Jewish people with a mission to exterminate the entire Jewish nation,” Meiner said. “Numerous members of my grandparents family were among the six million slaughtered and tortured by Hitler and the Nazis. May their memory be a blessing.”

Meiner is in his second term as mayor. He is a former Republican who switched to no party affiliation in 2018.

The song by Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, which has changed its title to “Hallelujah” to remain on music streaming platforms, includes lyrics expressing his frustration with his life at the time of its independent release in early 2025.

“Man these people took my kids from me, then they froze my bank account. I got so much anger in me, got no way to take it out. Think I’m stuck in the matrix,” Ye raps in the song. “So I became a Nazi, yeah, b****, I’m the villain. N**** heil Hitler, a**** heil Hitler. They don’t understand the things I say on Twitter. All my n***** Nazis, n*****, heil Hitler.”

Vendôme apologized for the incident in a statement of its own, calling the song’s playing “deeply offensive and unacceptable.”

The statement reads: “We want to be unequivocally clear: Vendôme and our hospitality group do not condone antisemitism, hate speech, or prejudice of any kind. These values are fundamentally opposed to who we are and the environment we strive to create.

“Our ownership and leadership reflect a diverse group of partners, backgrounds, and faiths including members of the Jewish community and we are deeply disturbed by the harm caused by this incident and the circulation of this footage,” the statement reads.

Those included in the video brushed off criticism.

“I wonder why clubs don’t issue apologies for music glorifying black and black violence,” Sneako responded on X to Vendôme’s statement.

“We are everywhere on social media, you cant scroll anywhere without seeing this collab, and you think this is somehow negative?” Clavicular wrote on X Sunday.

Earlier this month, Republican gubernatorial candidate James Fishback was on a livestream with Clavicular and Sneako, and defended his “good convo” with them by writing they are “both very smart guys.”

Meanwhile, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said the Tate brothers were not welcome in Florida after they were released from Romania. In Europe, the Tates were facing charges of human trafficking of minors, rape, and money laundering. DeSantis also said the state’s attorney general “is looking into what state hooks and jurisdictions we have to deal with this,” but no charges have been filed in the United States.

Florida has the third-largest Jewish population in the U.S., with over 700,000 Jewish people or 3% of Florida residents.

The footage of the group inside their limousine and inside the nightclub has received millions of views on X. This comes as Israel is gearing up to host its second annual International Conference on Combating Antisemitism. President Donald Trump’s first executive orders during his second term had a few about measures to combat antisemitism.
