Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem will testify before the House Committee on Homeland Security at around 10 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Her testimony comes as part of an annual committee hearing on “Worldwide Threats to the Homeland,” as it is titled. She will appear alongside director of the National Counterterrorism Center Joseph Kent and operations director of the FBI’s National Security Branch Michael Glasheen.

Last Thursday, Noem confirmed that she would expand the initial travel ban on 19 countries to over 30 countries.

The crackdown came in part as a response to the Thanksgiving-week shooting of two national guard members by an alleged Afghan national, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, who pleaded not guilty to the charges before him. Sarah Beckstrom, one of the national guard members targeted by the suspect, died from the ambush.
