Broadcaster Piers Morgan invited white nationalist Nick Fuentes for a future appearance on his program.
Fuentes splintered the Republican Party after conservative commentator Tucker Carlson interviewed him. Some believed Carlson should not have platformed Fuentes, who is known for espousing antisemitic views as well.
Noting Fuentes’ annoyance with Morgan not having him on, the broadcaster decided to make good on the invitation and extended it on Thursday.
“Fair enough, maybe it’s time we had a chat. So give me a call or a direct message, if that’s your thing, and we’ll do the interview. Nick Fuentes, let’s see how you get on,” he said in a video message posted on X.

Fuentes appeared to accept the invitation in a reply to the video. “Let’s set it up, looking forward to it,” he wrote on X.
If Morgan interviews Fuentes, it would be the next in a series of media appearances for the controversial right-wing figure. He’s coming off several interviews on the podcast circuit, including with Carlson.
Carlson’s interview has about 6.5 million views on YouTube and introduced the 27-year-old to his about 5 million subscriber base. The interview gave Fuentes one of his largest audiences yet.
Fuentes has about a million followers on X and nearly 550,000 on Rumble. He’s one of the most popular far-right personalities in the public view.
But many didn’t believe Carlson should have had Fuentes on his show, accusing the former Fox News host of platforming someone who has praised Adolf Hitler, to his audience.
“I spoke briefly with Tucker about that, and I think it’s a responsibility. He has a lot of listeners, and I think giving Nick Fuentes that platform is a big mistake,” Johnson said.
“It’s not just antisemitic, it’s openly racist, it’s violent — things you can’t even repeat on the House floor,” Johnson said. “We should not be giving a platform to amplify those views. And I think that’s important for us to say.”
Johnson’s comments signaled a break with President Donald Trump, who said that “you can’t tell” Carlson who to interview.
Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts also defended Carlson for the interview, but received backlash within his organization for doing so. Some left their positions, including a board member, citing Roberts’s response to Carlson’s interview with Fuentes.
The party’s reaction to Fuentes has made him more relevant in recent times. Morgan’s interview with him could add to the controversy.

While the pair didn’t focus on Fuentes, Morgan sat down with Carlson for an interview released Wednesday. The interview focused on free speech, and the “f” word surrounding gay people.
Carlson prodded Morgan to say the word, but he hesitated. He later said it, but acknowledged that using the word would offend people. Fuentes is known for testing the bounds of free speech, using slurs openly on his show and spouting controversial takes.
