Two National Guard members have been shot by a Metro station near the White House in Washington.
The conditions of the troops shot by the Farragut West Metro station are not known. Details of the shooter are not known.
Secret Service members were on the scene at Farragut West.
“Critical Incident: MPD is on the scene of a shooting at 17th and I Street, NW,” the Metropolitan Police Department wrote on X. “Please avoid the area. Updates to come.”
“Please avoid the area as MPD and our partners work to secure the scene,” it added.
