Washington Examiner senior writer Joe Concha said Democrats look “far worse” right now than President Donald Trump regarding the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Documents from the Epstein files released this week showed Del. Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) was texting with Epstein while she was in the middle of a 2019 congressional hearing.
Concha said on Fox News’s The Evening Edit on Thursday that Democrats defending Plaskett’s behavior shows the “length” they will go.
“This is the length Democrats will go to in order to get Donald Trump, even making an ally of a monster like Jeffrey Epstein,” Concha said.
“She looks horrible here, and all the legacy media apologies in the world for her ain’t going to change the fact that Democrats look far worse right now than Donald Trump does in regards to Jeffrey Epstein,” he added.
Since Plaskett’s texts with Epstein have been revealed, various Democratic members of Congress have defended her.
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) said Plaskett was communicating with Epstein because he was her “constituent.”

Crockett has also come under criticism for saying Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin accepted donations from Epstein. However, the Jeffrey Epstein who donated to Zeldin’s campaign was not the late sex offender.
Crocket stood firm on her statements, telling CNN’s Kaitlan Collins she never said that she was talking about “that Jeffrey Epstein.”
Concha said Crockett is a “cartoon character” and a “prolific liar.”
“Jasmine Crockett is like the next Michael Avenatti. Remember him? Stormy Daniels’s sleazy lawyer was on CNN and MSNBC, in the span of one year, hundreds of times,” Concha said. “Why? Because he said provocative things about Donald Trump, and now Jasmine Crockett is the next shiny object.”
“She’ll continue to get on cable news. She’ll continue to be a star. Lying be damned, integrity be damned,” Concha added.
Concha said the public is going to see “a lot of smoke” when the Epstein files are released.

Concha doesn’t think there will be anything negative about Trump in the files, because all the times when Democrats were in power, they did not “weaponize” it against Trump.
“If there were anything in there against him, they would have used it by now, and they have not, so this is going to be like Russia collusion all over again,” Concha said.
“A big nothing burger that will eventually boomerang back to Democrats who have been hyping this for weeks and now are realizing that ‘Uh oh, we look far, far more culpable here than Donald Trump ever could,’” he added.
