Hunter Biden is applying the ‘logic of his experience’ as a ‘crack addict’ to the country: Byron York

.

Washington Examiner Chief Political Correspondent Byron York said it’s “troubling” to see a former president’s son saying the rhetoric in the United States needs to get worse.

In a recent appearance on the Wide Awake Podcast, former President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden said they need to “turn the temperature up” against President Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again movement.

“What Hunter Biden is saying is that he believes that ugly rhetoric in the United States needs to get worse so the country can hit rock bottom and then start to get better,” York said on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle. “He’s applying the logic of his experience as a crack addict.”

York added that addicts often need to hit “rock bottom” before they can get better and that it’s a good process for recovery, but not the country.

“We don’t want to hit rock bottom,” York said. “We don’t want a civil war. We don’t want a great depression. We want things to get better without hitting the bottom, and I think that is the flaw in what Hunter Biden is saying.”

York said he thinks that several activists on the left believe starting chaos is valuable to their cause.

“A lot of the chaos actually prevents the Trump administration from enforcing its policies,” York said. “If you’re blocking ICE agents, you’re blocking the enforcement of immigration law.:

“It also creates a sense that the opposition is so intense that Trump can’t win, and then that can create among Trump supporters a kind of a chaos fatigue in which they just want it to stop,” York added.
