Vance responds to ‘disgraceful’ Psaki comments about wife Usha

.

Vice President JD Vance laughed at MSNBC anchor Jen Psaki‘s suggestion that his wife Usha needed saving.

“I think it’s disgraceful, but of course the second lady can speak for herself,” Vance told Fox News while on an airport tarmac Thursday. “I am very lucky to have a wonderful wife, and I know — at least I hope — that my wife feels the same about me.”

Vance just returned from his two-day trip to Israel at the time he made the comment. Usha accompanied him during the visit.

“I should say I’m very lucky to go on this journey with a very loving wife. We’re going to keep on serving this country together. I’m honored to have Usha by my side on this trip in particular, but always,” Vance added.

Psaki appeared on the podcast I’ve Had It on Tuesday. In the description of the video, the podcast producers wrote, “Usha Vance, please blink twice if you need help.” As a guest, Psaki commented on the Vance family’s personal lives, referring to the second lady without her title or name.

“I think the little manchurian candidate JD Vance wants to be president more than anything else. I always wonder what’s going on in the mind of his wife. Like, are you OK?” Psaki said. “Please blink four times. We’ll come over here. We’ll save you.”

White House spokesman Steven Cheung reacted to the clip on X on Tuesday. Cheung referred to Psaki by yet another nickname, “Psuki.”

JEN PSAKI DESERVES ‘ALL THE CRITICISM’ FOR USHA VANCE COMMENT: JOE CONCHA

“Jen Psuki must be transferring her own personal issues onto others,” Cheung said. “@jrpsaki is a dumb*** who has no comprehension of the truth and has to overcompensate for her lack of talent by saying untrue things. Circle back on that, moron.”

The Washington Examiner has reached out to Psaki for comment.
