HOUSE VOTES TO GIVE TRUMP MORE CONTROL OVER DC JUDGES

The hearing, led by Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and Ranking Member Robert Garcia (D-CA), comes days after the House passed two bills directed at the District — one that would give President Donald Trump authority to nominate D.C. judges and one that would change how D.C. minors are prosecuted.

Gregory Jackson Jr., the former deputy director of the White House office of gun violence prevention under former President Joe Biden’s administration, will also appear before the committee.
