At least two people have been hospitalized in Pennsylvania after a police-involved shooting.
CNN reported that the shooting suspect is dead and multiple law enforcement officers have been injured.
It’s unclear how the situation occurred, but it happened in southern Pennsylvania, about 115 miles away from Philadelphia.
“I’ve been briefed on the situation involving law enforcement in York County, and am on my way there now,” Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) said Wednesday in an X post.
A hospital spokesperson updated CNN on the situation.
“WellSpan York Hospital is currently treating two individuals related to the (law enforcement) incident in North Codorus Township,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “Both are in serious condition. Enhanced security protocols are in place at the hospital.”
Police dispatchers received calls around 2:10 p.m. about an incident in North Codorus Township that is now under investigation by state police.

The Philadelphia Division Office for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives said agents from the ATF Harrisburg Field Office assisted at the scene.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday said he would also head to the scene. Sunday urged via social media for “all residents to follow the instructions of local law enforcement” and that he is “praying for all involved.”
