A 19-year-old man was taken into custody on Sunday after allegedly vandalizing a memorial for Charlie Kirk outside Turning Point USA’s headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.
Video of the incident shows a man in a black T-shirt and blue jeans trampling the various items at the memorial, with witnesses saying the suspect was kicking over the flowers, vases, and flags on display. The man was quickly thrown to the ground by an onlooker, before being arrested by a nearby police officer.
The Phoenix Police Department later identified the suspect as Ryder Corral, who was wearing what appears to be the same black American flag T-shirt as the suspect in Charlie Kirk’s assassination last week.
Phoenix police said Corral will face charges including criminal damage and disorderly conduct, with more details to come once he is booked.
Kirk, who was shot and killed while speaking at a campus event in Utah, was the former CEO and co-founder of Turning Point USA.
The suspect in his assassination is 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, whose motive at this time is unknown.
