New York City Mayor Eric Adams posted a video on Wednesday against Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani that portrayed the city as a wrecked summer camp under Mamdani’s watch.
The video, generated through artificial intelligence, features a wooden “Camp Zohran” sign outside the city, where people arrive by bus. The ad uses signage in the same vein as Mamdani’s orange and blue campaign, and promotes the city’s “lavish” grocery stores, which are portrayed as empty.
The video ends with a shot of a fancy “Counselor’s Cabin,” where “the head counselor Zohran Mamdani” lives.
The video’s bottom right corner states it is AI-generated.
“Mamdani’s plans will hurt each one of those important issues. Do not let your city turn into Camp Zohran,” Adams said on X.
BONDI TO MEET WITH NYPD AS TRUMP TARGETS BLUE CITIES
Adams, who is running for reelection as an independent, mocked Mamdani’s bench-pressing skills last week. Fellow independent candidate and former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo also dug at the younger politician.
Mamdani is outraising his opponents, including Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa, by a large amount, with an average donation of $121. Mamdani is also ahead of all his opponents, leading Cuomo by 15 percentage points at 38.2% to 23.2%.
