Two state troopers shot in Pennsylvania

.

Two Pennsylvania state troopers were shot on Thursday while responding to a call.

The troopers were shot in Susquehanna County, according to Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA), and Rep. Rob Bresnahan (R-PA) said they are “expected to be in stable condition.”

Shapiro warned the public to avoid the area of the crime and added that an investigation is ongoing.

“Both Troopers were transported to local hospitals – and I’ve communicated with Colonel Paris and am on my way to join them now. Lori and I are praying for these brave Troopers, and our thoughts are with their families, friends, and every member of the State Police,” Shapiro said in a post on X.

“Awful news out of Susquehanna,” Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) said. “We are waiting for more information on what happened and keeping these state troopers in our thoughts and prayers.”
