President Donald Trump’s adviser-turned-foe Elon Musk demanded that the Trump administration release the so-called Epstein client list related to the late convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
Trump’s base has been outraged for several days over dissatisfaction with Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and his deputy, Dan Bongino, because they have not released the list as promised. Trump attempted on Saturday to put their demands at bay in a lengthy post on his Truth Social platform, but his base has continued to seek the release of the documents.
Musk, who has accused Trump of being in the files, also demanded their release.
In response to a separate social media post about Trump’s post, Musk said, “He said ‘Epstein’ half a dozen times while telling everyone to stop talking about Epstein. Just release the files as promised.”
“This is a very big deal,” Musk said in another post. “What the hell kind of system are we living in if thousands of kids were abused, the government has videos of the abusers and yet none of the abusers are even facing charges!?”

Bondi, Patel, and Bongino had previously supported the theory that the client list existed. Last week, the Department of Justice and the FBI closed their investigation into the sex offender and determined that no such client list existed, angering Trump’s base. Trump defended his administration over its actions.
“What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening. We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and ‘selfish people’ are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein,” he posted on Truth Social on Saturday.
Trump went on to bemoan the waste of “time and energy” on Epstein, “somebody that nobody cares about.”
His efforts do not appear to have completely calmed his supporters’ outrage.
Musk had previously claimed that Trump himself was in the Epstein files when the two had a public falling out. One post from Musk read, “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

In a follow-up post, Musk added, “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”
He later deleted both posts and apologized.
