Elon Musk posts drug test results on X

SpaceX CEO and former presidential adviser Elon Musk has suffered from accusations of using illicit drugs. On Tuesday, he shot down those rumors by posting a picture of what appears to be a recent drug test on social media.

Musk posted a picture of the test results on X underneath a caption that read “lol,” an acronym used online that traditionally means “laugh out loud.” The picture of the drug test showed negative results for cocaine, ketamine, Ecstasy, fentanyl, opiates, amphetamines, and PCP, among others.

The image comes after rumors and accusations that Musk was a regular drug user during his time as an official member of the Trump administration, stemming from a report in the New York Times

“Mr. Musk’s drug consumption went well beyond occasional use,” read the Times report. “He told people he was taking so much ketamine, a powerful anesthetic, that it was affecting his bladder, a known effect of chronic use. He took Ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms. And he traveled with a daily medication box that held about 20 pills, including ones with the markings of the stimulant Adderall, according to a photo of the box and people who have seen it.”

“It is unclear whether Mr. Musk, 53, was taking drugs when he became a fixture at the White House this year and was handed the power to slash the federal bureaucracy,” the Times said. “But he has exhibited erratic behavior, insulting Cabinet members.”

Last month, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked Musk about the Times report of his drug use. The billionaire dismissed the question and instead responded by criticizing the publication for its “false reporting” on its previous news coverage about “Russiagate.”

“Is that the same publication that got a Pulitzer prize for false reporting on Russiagate? I think it is!” Musk said. “I think a judge just ruled against the New York Times for their lies about the Russiagate hoax, and they might have to give back that Pulitzer Prize.”

Previously, the Wall Street Journal also reported about Musk’s recreational illegal drug use and that it concerned “leaders at Tesla and SpaceX. On Wednesday, a day after posting his drug test results, Musk took aim at the Times and the Journal, challenging each publication to have its employees take drug tests and post the results.

“The WSJ & New York Times fake “journalists” lied through their teeth about me,” Musk said on X on Wednesday. “Now let’s see their drug test results. They will fail.”
