Megyn Kelly slammed fashion company Versace for partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, arguing it collaborated with a “fake” woman to promote its products.
Mulvaney is perhaps best known for a collaboration with Bud Light in 2023. That sparked backlash online after Mulvaney was given a custom-made can, and the beer brand faced decreasing sales afterward.
This month, Mulvaney posted online a series of photos and videos showcasing a new collaboration with Versace, prompting Kelly to joke that the fashion brand is now the “new Bud Light.”
The host of The Megyn Kelly Show also pointed out that the dress is an older design, suggesting the brand gave the transgender influencer “leftovers.” Kelly backed up her argument by posting a picture of first lady Melania Trump wearing the dress to a New Year’s Eve party last year.
“Also that is what this dress looks like on an actual woman,” Kelly wrote on X in comparing the first lady and Mulvaney. “Too bad Versace decided to partner with a fake one.”

Following the drama created between Bud Light and Mulvaney’s partnership, Mulvaney reflected on the collaboration, describing it as” an organic thing to do because it was just another part of me.” Additionally, the influencer pushed back on the idea of being an activist, claiming to instead be “just a musical theater girl who wrote a book.”
On Monday, Anheuser-Busch, Bud Light’s parent company, announced a $300 million investment in manufacturing facilities across the United States. The latest move is a part of its “Brewing Futures” initiative, which began five years ago and has directed $2 billion toward domestic operations.
