Rep. Pat Fallon (R-TX) suggested that President Donald Trump get involved in the conflict between India and Pakistan.
It’s been over two weeks since the terrorist attack in Kashmir, India, sparked fighting between the Asian countries. While Trump met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he has largely avoided the topic of the conflict and has yet to visit India since it faced its second-deadliest attack that killed 26 tourists.
“I think I would certainly welcome the president getting involved, and really it’s in Pakistan’s interests to ensure these kind of attacks don’t occur in the future,” Fallon said on Fox News’s America Reports. “We wouldn’t stand for it, Israel certainly didn’t after October 7th, and I don’t expect India to. So it’s best moving forward to not have this happen in the first place.”

Former President Joe Biden visited Israel shortly after the Oct. 7th attacks. Vice President JD Vance last visited India with his wife and children before the terrorist attack in Kashmir.
India is known to rebuke countries that criticize its government. It stopped processing visas for Canadian applicants four days after former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed in a statement that there were “credible allegations” that India was involved in the shooting death of Hardeep Singh Nijjar in June 2023. The Indian government also called on Canada to decrease its diplomatic staff already there.
