Fetterman health concerns are response to him being ‘not far-Left’: Salena Zito

.

The Washington Examiner’s Salena Zito argued there may be ulterior motives behind the concerns for Sen. John Fetterman’s (D-PA) health, which she suggested are being fueled by his own staff.

Fetterman has pushed back against a report claiming that his staff members do not recognize “the man they once knew,” calling the report a “hit piece” and that people are not “concerned” about him. Zito, a Pennsylvania-based reporter, assessed that Fetterman’s staff no longer recognizes him because he is “taking control of his narrative,” arguing that Fetterman had no control over this when he was recovering from a stroke ahead of his 2022 Senate election.

Zito stated that Fetterman has always been a “problem” for the Democratic Party, citing his upset victory in Pennsylvania’s 2018 lieutenant governor election. She added that she saw Fetterman at a recent book party at Sen. Dave McCormick’s (R-PA) house, where he spoke “impromptu” and mingled with party attendees.

“This has everything to do with his staff looking for redemption for having worked for him because he’s not far left enough, and has nothing to do with his capabilities or competency,” Zito said on Fox News’s America’s Newsroom. “John Fetterman has returned to being himself, and I don’t think the staff that was hired to run him in 2022 actually understood who John Fetterman was. This is who he is, and he’s very competent.”

Zito added that Fetterman is likely to conduct a “clean sweep” of his staff in response to them “running to the press” over the reports against the senator.

THE LEFT COMES FOR JOHN FETTERMAN

This July, Zito is releasing a book titled Butler: The Untold Story of the Near Assassination of Donald Trump and the Fight for America’s Heartland, which details her eyewitness account of the assassination attempt against President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, last year. The book’s release is set for July 8, just a few days before the first anniversary of the historic day.

Besides Zito, former Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, a former Democrat, has also come to Fetterman’s aid following the report against him, condemning the “despicable hit piece” that was a “vendetta” against his health journey.
