Kat Cammack laments creation of ‘MS-13 caucus’ among House Democrats

.

Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL) condemned her Democratic colleagues for taking the side of illegal immigrants over their constituents.

Cammack’s comments come as Reps. Robert Garcia (D-CA), Maxwell Frost (D-FL), Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ), and Maxine Dexter (D-OR) spent part of their recess in El Salvador trying to meet deported illegal immigrant Kilmar Abrego Garcia. The unofficial delegation was ultimately unsuccessful in meeting the alleged MS-13 member and funded the trip out of their own pockets.

“To see situations where you have representatives in Congress that are basically creating the MS-13 caucus, going to bat for illegals over the people who paid their salaries is infuriating,” Cammack said on Fox News’s The Faulkner Focus Wednesday.

“When will these senators, when will these Democrats stand up for Americans? It is insane. And we again as constituents, as Americans, as just good people should be standing up and screaming to the top of heaven that this is unacceptable,” Cammack went on. “We need to demand accountability. President Trump is doing everything he can. We in the House need to pass more legislation and the Senate needs to actually codify efforts to get these folks out of our country and tighten up the laws. This cannot stand.”

HOUSE DEMOCRATS IN EL SALVADOR HAVE YET TO MEET KILMAR ABREGO GARCIA

In the meantime, the representatives have since returned from El Salvador and are demanding for daily “proof of life” for Abrego Garcia. Since meeting with Sen. Chris Van Hollen, Abrego Garcia was moved out of the terrorism confinement center, Centro de Confinamiento del Terrorismo, referred to as the CECOT, to another undisclosed prison.

Democratic lawmakers have disputed Abrego Garcia’s gang affiliation. Leavitt pointed out that two different courts found Abrego Garcia was an MS-13 member, along with the testimonies of immigration officials. The Salvadorian was arrested wearing a Chicago Bulls hat in 2019, a common gang uniform, along with two other confirmed members of MS-13, and photographed with tattoos on his hand that are associated with the gang.
